JIS G4104 SCr 440 steel

After quenching and high temperature tempering treatment, JIS G4104 SCr 440 has good combination properties, impact tenacity at low temperature, and good hardenability. But its weldability is not good,and it is easy to crack. So before the welding, the steel needs to be preheating to 100-150 °C. Generally speaking,JIS G4104 SCr 440 is used after quenching and high temperature tempering treatment.
